La Baronessa is the
largest all-aluminum privately-owned motor yacht in the world,
costing approximately 35 million dollars. It has a cruising range
of 10,000 miles and a top speed of 16 knots. Constructed by Palmer
Johnson Yachts in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, the ship has has state-of-the-art
electronics, a crew of 16, room for 16 guests, a 12-line, 30-station
telephone system, an air-conditioned garage holding two tenders
and a 17-foot retractable transom deck for SCUBA diving from the
back of the ship. This photo is a detail from the jackets worn
