Studio
For me, the term "Studio" refers to a style, rather
than a location. Most of my studio shots have been done on location,
rather than in an actual studio. In a situation where I have to
photograph an object--food, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, whatever--and
where everything can be controlled (lighting, styling, background,
etc) I feel that the term Studio applies. Much of my studio work
is done on a view camera, to more fully control the final image,
and also to provide a very high-quality output.
The jewelry shown here is from the J. Jeffery Taylor Gallery
in Fish Creek, Wisconsin. They don't have a web page yet, but
if you're in the area stop in--they're great people to work with.
